•Critics' interpretations and reviews

1. Interpretation of tormented beauty: Some critics see "Starry Night" as an expression of the beauty and mystery of the night, but also as a representation of the artist's internal struggle and emotional turmoil. The combination of vibrant colors and the way the stars seem to swirl in the night sky suggest a sense of movement and energy, perhaps reflecting the artist's restless state of mind.

2. Influence of Post-Impressionism: Other critics highlight how "Starry Night" encapsulates the characteristics of Post-Impressionism, especially in the way Van Gogh used color and form to express emotions and moods. The distortion of natural forms, such as the mountains and cypresses, suggests a subjective interpretation of reality, typical of Post-Impressionism.

3. Spiritual connection and symbolism: Some critics view "Starry Night" as a representation of Van Gogh's spiritual connection to nature and the cosmos. The cypresses pointing towards the sky and the church on the horizon suggest a spiritual quest and a sense of transcendence. Additionally, the presence of the moon and stars could be interpreted as symbols of hope and light in the darkness, even amidst emotional distress.
